Weaving Bronson Lace

Spring 2015
Date: Saturdays, May 9, 16, 23
Time: 9am to 12pm

Lace woven on a loom may not have the large areas of open spaces that other kinds of lace have, but it does have small holes and floats that make a very beautiful fabric. In this class you will learn how to weave a type of lace called Bronson lace. The whole process of weaving will be covered. First you will decide which item you want to make, a table runner, a scarf, or a sampler. Then you will choose your yarn from a variety of fibers and colors. After warping the loom and weaving your project, you will learn how to wash and finish it. This class is appropriate for those who have taken the beginning weaving class or who have similar experience.
