Weave a Sami band! You don't have to already be a weaver to weave a Sami band. A Sami band, or ribbon, is easy to weave with a special Sunna heddle. Even those with no weaving experience can learn how to "pick up" colorful patterns, just like the Sami people have been doing for ages in northern Scandinavia. In this one-day class you will set up the heddle with colors of your choice and weave a band about 1/2 inch wide by 30 inches long. The bands can be used to decorate a small bag or a hundred other uses.
