Introduction to Spinning

Winter 2016
Date: Saturday, February 13, OR Saturday, February 27
Time: 9am to 12pm

This one day class will introduce you to the art of spinning wool into yarn. We will talk about different kinds of wool preparations and different kinds of spinning wheels. You will be able to practice treadling on a wheel and then start to learn how to let the wool fiber twist into yarn. Spinning wheels will be available; if you have your own wheel, make arrangements before the class to have it examined at the studio to make sure it is in working order. Call Debra Whitehead for more information.
